40 Days of Purpose News

You are invited to join a 40 Days of Purpose Grace Gathering TODAY! You will find it a life-changing spiritual journey this late winter and spring. These gatherings will answer the most important question of life: "What on earth am I here for?" This may be the most significant spiritual experience you have ever had.

If you haven't already signed up to attend one of our Grace Gatherings, or if you do not yet attend one of our Sunday School classes, you will have an opportunity to sign up for either, or both at The Connection, 11:00 a.m., following the morning worship service. We don't want you to miss this life-changing experience!

More information about the Grace Gatherings and the special Sunday School sessions will be provided at The Connection this morning: when they meet, where they meet and what to expect. We'll help you locate a group that fits your needs, your schedule, and, hopefully, is close to where you live.

More About the Campaign

Our pastors want to strongly encourage every member and friend of Christ Church to make 40 Days of Purpose their priority. The time frame: February 26 through April 9. During the Campaign, the truths about God's five purposes for people - worship, fellowship, disci-pleship, ministry, and evangelism -will be communicated repeatedly in five ways:
1. A weekly message by one of the pastors.
2. A personal or family daily devotional reading.
3. A weekly Scripture memory verse for everyone to memorize.
4. A weekly small group or Sunday School lesson.
5. A daily e-mail of encouragement.

This Week's Prayer Focus for 40 Days of Purpose

Pray for the distribution of "The Purpose Driven Life" that the book will reach each person who God intended it to reach.

Pray for each person's commitment to read "The Purpose Driven Life" daily for 40 days.

Pray that the reading of "The Purpose Driven Life" will be a grace-filled turning point in the spiritual growth of each person.

Pray for the motivation of all readers to reflect on God's purposes for their lives, and act on what the Holy Spirit has revealed to them.

In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. (Psalm 5:3)

A Thought to Remember

Avoid every tendency away from the simplicity of relationship to God in Christ Jesus, and then prayer will be as the breath of the lungs in a healthy body. —Oswald Chambers
